The RAS47 platform applies the proven AKM design to a US-made stamped steel receiver and a compact 10.5-inch barrel, paired with a matte gray/black finish. It uses the AK long-stroke gas piston system and a manual safety/selector for familiar handling and operation.
AK-type iron sights are standard, with a protected front post integrated into the gas block and an AK tangent rear sight leaf with range graduations. This configuration provides a robust, serviceable sighting setup aligned with the platform.
Furniture is durable and practical: a black polymer pistol grip with molded checkering for control, and a black polymer lower handguard with elongated cooling slots to aid ventilation during extended firing.
The pistol accepts double-stack AK-pattern detachable magazines. This example includes a 75-round drum, a 30-round polymer waffle-pattern magazine, and a 20-round steel ribbed magazine, offering multiple loadout options.
The RAS47 line was later discontinued in favor of Century’s VSKA series, placing this model within a defined production era of US-made AKM-pattern pistols.
