The barrel is cold hammer-forged alloy steel with a 1:16 RH twist and six grooves. Sighting is straightforward and precise with a serrated ramp front and a fully adjustable square-notch rear.
Ruger’s transfer bar and loading-gate interlock provide modern safety features while maintaining traditional single-action function. Overall length is 11.38 inches with a listed weight of 40 oz.
Markings include the left-frame rollmark .45 CAL NEW MODEL BLACKHAWK and the Ruger address/warning line on the bottom of the barrel. The revolver carries a 38- serial number prefix consistent with this configuration.
