The heavy, unfluted 20-inch carbon steel barrel is paired with a recessed crown and an unthreaded muzzle. A barrel lock-nut at the shank reflects the classic Savage setup. The matte black finish presents a uniform, non-glare appearance across the metalwork.
The short-action receiver is drilled and tapped and currently fitted with two-piece Picatinny scope bases. There are no factory iron sights. The right-hand bolt uses a round knob for a straightforward, positive grasp.
Savage's AccuTrigger is user-adjustable and includes a safety blade, complemented by a three-position tang safety. Feeding is from an internal blind-box magazine with a 3-round capacity. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches.
The black synthetic stock is fixed and features molded checkering for grip and a rubber recoil pad. Three sling-swivel studs are installed; the fore-end has two studs, with the front-most hosting the included bipod. The barrel bears a Westfield, Massachusetts roll mark, and the rifle is made in the United States.
