The Ranger Model 120 Youth is built on Winchester’s 1200-family design with a rotating multi-lug locking bolt for solid lock-up and smooth cycling. The aluminum alloy receiver wears a black anodized finish and uses a right-side ejection port and a cross-bolt safety for straightforward operation.
The 22 inch plain (non-vent-rib) steel barrel features a single front bead and is threaded for WinChoke tubes. It is currently set up with a Full choke, and the chamber is cut for both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells, adding flexibility for a range of 20 gauge loads.
Furniture includes a smooth hardwood stock with a straight comb and a ventilated recoil pad, sized for youth with a 13.0 inch length of pull. The forend is the classic ribbed corncob-style wood, and a knurled magazine cap rounds out the front end. Capacity is 2+1.
Markings include Made in New Haven, Conn. U.S.A., WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL, and WINCHOKE, reflecting its U.S. manufacture and barrel steel designation. The shotgun features a blued steel barrel and magazine tube with a black anodized receiver for a traditional Winchester look from the 1980s era.
