This 2003 Colt Custom Shop Special Combat Government is an all-steel, full-size Series 80 1911 chambered in .45 ACP with a 5-inch barrel. It wears a silver finish with brushed flats and matte rounds and is equipped with a premium Bo-Mar adjustable rear sight paired with a plain black Patridge front. Factory performance touches include a match trigger, checkering, and an integrated/beveled magazine well. Distinctive factory slide and barrel markings complete the package.

Built in the Colt Custom Shop, this Special Combat Government is a Series 80 Government-model with an all-steel frame and slide, finished in silver with brushed flats and matte rounds. The slide carries factory markings "SPECIAL COMBAT GOVERNMENT" and "COLT'S GOVERNMENT MODEL," while the barrel hood is marked "COLT 45 AUTO."
The sighting system features a Bo-Mar adjustable rear sight, a premium unit no longer produced, paired with a plain black Patridge-style dovetailed front blade. These target sights provide a clean, precise sight picture with full adjustability at the rear.
Ergonomics and control enhancements include an upswept beavertail grip safety, an extended single-side thumb safety, a checkered frontstrap, and a flat, checkered mainspring housing with an integrated/beveled magazine well. The pistol uses a full-length guide rod and a lowered and flared ejection port, with rear-only vertical cocking serrations for slide manipulation.
The fire-control setup includes a three-hole aluminum long match trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. This single-action-only Series 80 pistol incorporates a firing pin safety. It is a full-size 1911 platform in .45 ACP with an 8+1 capacity, outfitted with checkered double-diamond hardwood grips and made in the United States.
