Built in 1943 by Inland and marked on the receiver ring as "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. .30 M1," this carbine reflects a later arsenal-updated configuration. It features a late adjustable rear sight with windage knob and the Type II barrel band without a bayonet lug—a configuration commonly seen on updated service carbines.
The parkerized steel receiver and low-wood GI-style hardwood stock with oval sling cut and separate short wood top handguard present a classic WWII appearance. The rifle uses iron sights with a protected blade front and a late adjustable rear sight with windage knob, and it feeds from detachable box magazines.
A Blue Sky/Arlington, VA import stamp is present, indicating it was repatriated from overseas stocks. The action is the standard M1 Carbine semi-automatic system with a short-stroke gas piston and rotating bolt, paired with an 18-inch barrel and a 13.25-inch length of pull.
This example includes a discreet, non-standard barrel-mounted accessory base under the muzzle. The package is rounded out with three magazines of different capacities and a set of U.S.-marked accessories that complement the carbine's WWII-era configuration.
