    What’s Included
    • Winchester Model 70 Standard Rifle (Pre-64) .270 Win. bolt-action rifle
    • Installed two-piece scope bases (no rings included)

Built on Winchester’s pre-64 controlled-round-feed action, this rifle uses a full-length claw extractor and a coned breech to guide cartridges smoothly from the internal magazine. The polished bolt body and pear-shaped bolt knob reflect the fit and finish associated with pre-64 production.

The 24-inch barrel is marked Winchester Proof Steel and is chambered in .270 Winchester. Feeding is through an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, providing a 3+1 capacity. A three-position wing safety is fitted on the bolt shroud.

The receiver is drilled and tapped and fitted with two-piece scope bases; no rings are installed. An integral front sight ramp is present (no hood), and the rear barrel sight is absent, as observed.

The rifle wears a checkered walnut stock with a straight comb and pistol grip, bordered point-pattern checkering, and no cheekpiece. It has an inletted front sling loop base, a rear sling loop stud, and a black checkered buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches. A small rectangular filler or plug is present on the barrel forward of the roll mark, showing the letters "WE TH-MAG" as observed.
