This Ultra-format 1911 is a pre-Series II configuration with no “II” slide marking. It uses an internal extractor and has rear slide serrations only. The frame is marked Yonkers, NY, with a KU-prefix serialization consistent with the Ultra line.
The 3-inch bushingless bull barrel is paired with Kimber's Ultra-series dual/captive recoil spring assembly for the compact slide and barrel system. The pistol is chambered in .45 ACP and operates on a single-action only, short-recoil 1911 platform.
The stainless steel slide wears a matte bead-blast finish, and the aluminum alloy frame is matte silver. The ejection port is lowered and flared, and the slide has rear serrations only. Black synthetic double-diamond grip panels complete the compact Officer-length grip format.
Controls and features include an extended thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety, a lightweight three-hole trigger, and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. Sights are fixed, low-profile dovetailed irons with a dovetailed front and a drift-adjustable rear. Capacity is 7+1, with three 7-round magazines included.
