Factory-configured as the Carbon X-22 MOE Black variant (Model 31220), this 10/22 uses a 16.1" cold-hammer-forged stainless steel barrel tensioned within a carbon-fiber sleeve. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and ships without iron sights from the factory, with a receiver scope base already installed for straightforward optic mounting.
Key performance parts are upgraded with a Volquartsen TG2000 trigger group and a Volquartsen competition bolt. An aftermarket multi-port muzzle brake is installed on the threaded muzzle. The 1:16 twist supports a wide range of .22 LR loads, and the simple blowback action remains true to the 10/22 platform.
The rifle is paired with a Magpul MOE X-22 polymer stock in Ruger's exclusive speckled black finish. The stock has a smooth fore-end without M-LOK slots, textured grip surfaces, and a front sling stud. Length of pull is owner-reported at 14.0", compared with the factory 13.5" specification for this model.
Additional model features include an aluminum alloy receiver with a hard-coat finish, an extended magazine release, and no factory iron sights. Capacity is 15+1 with the included BX-15 magazine, and a BX-1 10-round magazine is also included.
