Built on Ruger’s Old Model three-screw frame, this Single-Six uses the original pre–transfer-bar lockwork and retains the Standard Model’s fixed-sight configuration. It was manufactured in 1959, placing it among the earlier production years of the series.
The revolver is chambered in .22 LR and carries a six-shot fluted cylinder. It has a 5.5-inch barrel and fixed sights consisting of a blade front and a square-notch topstrap rear, giving it a straightforward, durable sight picture.
Construction details include a blued steel cylinder and overall blued finish, an ejector-rod housing secured with a front screw, and the contoured (round) loading gate. The serial number is located on the right side of the frame ahead of the trigger guard, consistent with the Old Model pattern.
Factory markings include the side legend "RUGER .22 CAL SINGLE-SIX," the Ruger eagle logo, and the barrel address "STURM, RUGER & CO., SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A." Aftermarket stag-style grip panels are fitted, providing a distinctive appearance while maintaining a traditional profile.
