This NitroMag configuration offers 3 1/2 in chamber capability along with compatibility for 2 3/4 and 3 in shells, giving broad load flexibility. The 28 in vent-rib barrel is threaded for Rem Choke tubes, and the green fiber-optic front bead provides a bright aiming reference along the rib.

The synthetic stock and textured polymer fore-end deliver a secure, low-maintenance setup. A SuperCell recoil pad is installed at the butt, and a sling swivel stud is positioned at the stock toe. Length of pull is 14.0 in, and a cross-bolt safety is fitted.
Introduced in 2009 and discontinued in 2015, the Model 887 NitroMag represents a distinct polymer-overmold design within Remington’s pump-action lineup, pairing a rugged exterior with magnum shotshell capability and a straightforward control layout.
