The MCX Virtus platform uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston action paired with an internal guide-rod recoil system, enabling true folding-stock operation without a traditional buffer tube. The stock is a minimalist polymer unit that folds and telescopes with adjustable length of pull and mounts on a 1913 rear interface.
The 11.5-inch cold hammer forged barrel is user-changeable and quick-change compatible within the MCX system. A two-position gas regulator, marked with +/−, lets the user tune for suppressed or unsuppressed operation. A three-prong flash hider is installed at the muzzle.
The rifle features a free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard and a full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail for mounting accessories. Included SIG flip-up front and rear iron sights are installed, along with a short vertical foregrip and an M-LOK Picatinny rail section.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector, magazine release, and bolt catch. It accepts STANAG/AR-pattern magazines, and this package includes five 30-round magazines. The ejection-port cover is marked "MULTI-CAL," and the lower receiver is marked "SIG MCX MULTI-CALIBER." Made in the USA. NFA item (SBR).
