The Dark Side variant delivers a uniform black finish across its fiber-reinforced, metal-filled polymer frame and steel slide. It is a full-size, striker-fired 9mm with a non-threaded 5.00 in barrel and an 18+1 capacity. This example is imported by Century Arms and marked Made in Turkey, mfg part number HG6815-N.
The slide is cut for optics and includes the Canik plate system, with a removable cover plate when irons are used. Practical features include lightening windows and front and rear serrations. Sights consist of a red fiber-optic front in a dovetail and a fully adjustable rear with protective wings and index marks for windage and elevation.
Controls are competition-minded: an ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine catch. The flat-faced, skeletonized aluminum trigger features a trigger safety lever, a 90-degree break, and a short reset. A striker status indicator is present at the rear.
An integral 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail supports common weapon lights. The frame wears textured polymer grips with interchangeable backstraps. The pistol is marked Fires Without Magazine, indicating no magazine disconnect. The SFx Rival series debuted in 2022 and received the 2022 Industry Choice Awards Handgun of the Year.
