The Featherweight variant is distinguished by its lightweight alloy trigger guard and its specific takedown arrangement. This example dates to 1961–1962 and was made in the USA. The serial marking carries the F suffix that denotes the Featherweight configuration.
The 28 inch Winchester Proof Steel barrel is a plain (non-rib) pattern with a fixed Full choke and a single front bead. It is chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells. The bore condition is excellent, supporting the clean presentation of the barrel.
This pump-action Model 12 uses an internal hammer and an under-barrel tubular magazine. Capacity is 2+1 as currently configured. As with the Model 12 design, there is no trigger disconnector, allowing slam-fire when the trigger is held during cycling.
The walnut pistol-grip stock is smooth (no checkering) and is paired with a grooved corncob forend. An aftermarket Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad is installed, setting length of pull at approximately 14.75 inches. Metal surfaces show a polished blue finish on the receiver and barrel.
Barrel markings read Model 12 Featherweight, 12 GA, 2 3/4 CHAM, and Winchester Proof Steel, with a choke stamp of FULL. A small assembly number "900" is observed on the barrel/magazine assembly.
