This 1984 Browning BPS Field is a Japan-made 12 gauge pump-action with the hallmark bottom-loading, bottom-eject design and ambidextrous tang safety. It features a 26" vent-rib steel barrel with longitudinal serrations, the Browning Invector screw-in choke system, and a single brass bead. The shotgun wears a gloss blued finish over steel and walnut furniture with factory checkering, a ventilated recoil pad, and a white-line spacer.

The BPS Field series combines a steel receiver and barrel with a gloss blued finish for durability and a traditional look. The bottom-ejecting, bottom-loading receiver and tang-mounted safety provide fully ambidextrous operation.
The 26" steel barrel is vent ribbed with longitudinal serrations for a clean sighting plane and is topped with a single brass bead. It is threaded for the Browning Invector screw-in choke system and is chambered for both 2 3/4" and 3" shells.
Walnut furniture includes a checkered stock and matching forend, finished in gloss. A Browning ventilated recoil pad with a white-line spacer complements the stock, and the length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Capacity is 3+1. Receiver and barrel markings read Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q., Made in Japan, aligning with its 1980s production and 1984 manufacture year.
