What’s Included
- Winchester Model 190 Carbine .22 LR rifle
The carbine configuration pairs a 20.5 inch steel barrel with an overall length of approximately 39 inches, offering a compact and well-balanced rimfire. The walnut-finished hardwood stock has a straight-comb, uncheckered profile and is capped with a black hard buttplate molded "WINCHESTER." The receiver is aluminum alloy with a black finish, complementing the blued barrel and small parts.
Operation is semi-automatic via a simple blowback system. Feeding is from an under-barrel tubular magazine with a knurled end cap, providing a 15-round capacity. It chambers .22 Long or .22 Long Rifle (not .22 Short) and uses a right-side ejection port for spent cases. A cross-bolt safety provides straightforward on/off control.
Sighting equipment includes a ramped front blade and an open rear sight with a stepped elevator for elevation adjustment. This traditional open-sight arrangement is easy to use and suits the carbine’s handy profile.
Designed for practical field use and easy upkeep, the Model 190 features tool-less takedown via a knurled underside thumbscrew (takedown wheel) and a modular trigger group. This example bears the Winchester "WP" oval proof and was produced in 1976 as part of the Model 190/290 rimfire series made from 1967 to 1980 in the United States.
