The Model 57-4 is built on Smith & Wesson’s large N-frame and chambered in .41 Rem. Mag., pairing a six-shot fluted cylinder with a 6-inch carbon steel barrel. The barrel uses a partial underlug with an ejector-rod shroud, and the topstrap is serrated to reduce glare.
Sighting equipment includes a ramped front sight with orange/red insert and a fully adjustable S&W micrometer rear sight, offering a precise sight picture. The wide, case-colored trigger and case-colored hammer with a wide checkered spur provide a classic S&W control layout.
The revolver wears a polished blue finish over its carbon steel frame and barrel. It is marked "MOD 57-4" on the yoke cut, "41 MAGNUM" on the right side of the barrel, and "SMITH & WESSON" on the left. The right frame carries the S&W trademark rollmark, alongside the "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS." legend.
Notably, no internal lock is visible on this example. It was manufactured in the United States and dates to 1997. The factory blue box’s end label matches the revolver, and the original manual is included.
