The Compact AOS variant delivers the double-stack 1911 format in a carry-friendly size while retaining key performance features. The forged steel slide wears Black Cerakote and has front and rear grasping serrations for confident manipulation. A 7075-T6 aluminum frame is paired with a polymer grip module that provides a coarse/stippled texture and a flared magazine well.
Its 3.5 in bushingless, match-grade forged stainless bull barrel uses a DLC finish to reduce friction and enhance durability. The single-action, hammer-fired system includes a skeletonized 3-hole trigger and a skeletonized Commander-style external hammer. Ambidextrous thumb safeties and a beavertail grip safety round out the controls.
The slide is cut for the AOS optics-mounting interface and arrives with a screw-retained cover plate that carries the rear sight. Sights consist of a front blade with a single dot and a plain black rear notch, giving a clear sight picture out of the box.
Practical details include an integral Picatinny accessory rail with three slots, a 15+1 capacity, and user-friendly dimensions: 7.0 in overall length, 5.1 in height, and 25.5 oz unloaded. Made in the USA, this Prodigy Compact balances shootability with a compact footprint.
