Built by Izhmash on a stamped AK-100/AK-74M-pattern receiver, this Saiga retains the factory left-side optic dovetail and carries the Izhmash arrow-in-triangle crest and Russian proofmarks, along with the RWC Group LLC, Tullytown, PA import mark. Its import timeline places it prior to the 2014 Russian small-arms sanctions.
The rifle has been converted from the sporter configuration to AK-style ergonomics. Upgrades include a Tapco G2 fire-control group, an M4-style telescoping buttstock mounted on a receiver adapter with a 12.0-inch length of pull, and a UPG ergonomic pistol grip. The result is a familiar control layout with a crisp, proven FCG.
An aftermarket side-rail scope mount with an integral Picatinny top rail is installed, and the fore-end has been replaced with a polymer railed handguard. A vertical foregrip is attached for added front-end control and accessory placement flexibility.
The 16.3-inch barrel is unthreaded with a crowned muzzle and is paired with a 90-degree gas block. Sights are classic AK: a protected front post and a tangent rear leaf graduated 1–3. The action is the standard long-stroke gas piston system with a manual safety selector. Capacity is listed at 30+1, and three 30-round magazines are included.
