The Lite Rack system, rear cocking ears, and generous front and rear slide serrations make this Security-380 notably easy to manipulate. The slide features six lightening cuts and a blued finish, while the compact 3.42 in alloy-steel barrel balances concealability and control.
Ruger’s Secure Action, a pre-cocked single-action with an internal hammer, combines a safety-blade trigger with a neutrally balanced sear and hammer catch. A manual thumb safety and a reversible magazine release add user-focused control without complicating operation.
The glass-filled nylon grip module houses an aluminum chassis with full-length rails for consistent slide-to-frame tracking. Sighting is straightforward: a green fiber-optic front pairs with a drift-adjustable steel rear. An integral accessory rail with four cross-slots supports common weaponlights.
Factory markings include "SECURITY-380" and "RUGER – PRESCOTT, AZ USA" on the slide, "380 AUTO" on the barrel hood, and "PISTOL WILL FIRE WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED" on the frame, indicating there is no magazine disconnect. This pistol is manufactured in the USA and corresponds to Ruger MPN 03839.
