Built as a Wilson Combat Super Grade competition pistol, this full-size 1911 is chambered in .38 Super with a 9+1 capacity. The custom work is based on a Colt MK IV/Series 80 Government Model stainless frame manufactured in 1989, combining Series 80 safety architecture with Wilson Combat tuning and features suited to practical shooting.
The upper features a 5.25-inch barrel capped by a two-port compensator to help manage muzzle rise. The stainless slide has front and rear serrations, a lowered and flared ejection port, and a longitudinally serrated top. A pinned front sight blade is installed, while the rear sight is omitted/obscured by the optic mount.
A frame-mounted C-MORE Systems red-dot provides a bright red dot aiming reference. The dedicated base is secured to the frame with multiple screws for rigidity, and it bears a small star symbol stamp on the mount. The optic body is factory-marked, including the 'PAT PEND' legend.
Control and handling upgrades include a checkered front strap and checkered mainspring housing, an extended magazine well funnel for fast reloads, and an upswept beavertail grip safety. A commander-style rowel hammer and a long, lightweight three-hole trigger round out the competition-focused fire controls. Checkered wooden grip panels complete the setup.
This single-action-only pistol operates via short recoil and incorporates the Series 80 firing pin safety. It is finished in stainless throughout and was made in the USA, aligning with late-1980s custom 1911 competition builds.
