The DDM4 V7 is an AR-15 platform rifle chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 16-inch barrel and a threaded muzzle. It uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement operating system and has a 30+1 capacity.
The free-float Daniel Defense Modular Float Rail (MFR) 12.0 handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum with elongated oval slots. A continuous, T-marked Picatinny top rail bridges the upper receiver and handguard, providing uninterrupted alignment for accessories.
Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized matte black finish. Controls and features include a right-side forward assist, shell deflector, and ejection-port cover. Factory markings include "MODULAR FLOAT RAIL 12.0" on the handguard, "DANIEL DEFENSE, INC. BLACK CREEK, GA, USA" on the upper/rail, and "M4 CARBINE / CAL. MULTI" on the lower.
The rifle is set up with a collapsible 6-position polymer stock (length of pull 10.25 in) and an A2-pattern polymer pistol grip. Polymer flip-up front and rear sights are installed, along with a Daniel Defense vertical foregrip and a short Picatinny accessory rail section on the handguard.
