The Vaquero shown here is the original large-frame submodel in .44 Magnum, built in 1998. It is a fixed-sight, single-action revolver with classic SAA-style handling, and it wears factory rollmarks on the frame reading "RUGER VAQUERO" and ".44 MAG. CAL." for clear model and caliber identification.
The revolver pairs a blued barrel and six-shot fluted cylinder with a color case hardened-style frame for a traditional look. The 5.5-inch barrel length offers a balanced profile that complements the large-frame build and the .44 Magnum chambering.
It uses Ruger’s transfer bar safety system, allowing safe carry of six. Sighting is straightforward and durable with a fixed blade front and fixed groove rear, as originally configured for the Vaquero.
The grips are smooth ivory-colored synthetic panels with Ruger medallions, providing a clean, period-style appearance. The included Ruger factory case with end label notes catalog BNV-475-I, and the original manual is also included.
