The optics-ready slide includes a removable cover plate, allowing the user to keep a traditional sight picture or mount an optic as desired. The slide wears a black KimPro II finish with flat-top serrations and front and rear cocking serrations, and it uses an internal extractor for positive case control.
The frame is stainless steel in a satin silver finish and omits an accessory rail for a classic, streamlined profile. Functional touches include 30 LPI checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing and a slight bevel at the magazine well to aid reloads. A GI-length guide rod complements the 5-inch, bushing-fitted stainless barrel with a deep crown.
Controls and handling features are set up for confident operation: an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety, and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. The aluminum, lightened three-slot trigger provides a clean interface.
