What’s Included
- Winchester Model 94AE Ranger .30-30 lever-action rifle
The Ranger-series 94AE combines classic Winchester carbine handling with the Angle-Eject receiver, allowing easy access to the top of the action. This receiver is factory drilled and tapped on top for over-receiver bases, offering flexibility in how the rifle can be set up.
Built in New Haven in 1992 during the USRAC era, this carbine uses a 20-inch round steel barrel and a full-length tubular magazine with twin barrel bands. Capacity is 6+1 rounds of .30-30, and the rifle uses a standard (non-large) lever loop for familiar Model 94 ergonomics. Length of pull is 13.25 inches.
Sighting equipment includes a ramped front blade (without hood) and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with elevator, providing a clean, traditional iron-sight picture. Safety features include a cross-bolt safety with a red "fire" indicator and a rebounding hammer.
The rifle wears a blued finish with plain, uncheckered American hardwood furniture. It has a straight-grip stock, a carbine-length hardwood forend, and a black checkered synthetic buttplate bearing the Winchester logo. Overall execution reflects a straightforward, durable carbine configuration well-suited to the platform’s heritage.
