- 1x 15-round steel M1 Carbine-pattern magazine
- Under-barrel accessory rail segment (installed)
Built by Universal Firearms Corp. in Hialeah, Florida, this Gen 1 commercial M1 Carbine follows the USGI pattern and uses a gas-operated short-stroke piston system. Chambered in .30 Carbine, it pairs an 18-inch barrel with a 15+1 capacity for a classic carbine configuration.
Early-configuration features include a stamped adjustable rear aperture sight with a windage knob and sliding elevation ramp, a commercial wing-protected front post with lightening holes, and a wood top handguard with four round ventilation holes. The barrel band is the early style without a bayonet lug.
The hardwood stock has a straight profile with a checkered metal buttplate. It is built without a sling/oiler cut and shows a rectangular inletted cutout on the right side of the butt. Length of pull measures 13 inches for a traditional M1 Carbine feel.
A compact accessory rail segment is mounted to the underside of the gas-cylinder/gas-block housing between the barrel band and the front sight for add-on compatibility as configured. The receiver heel is marked HIALEAH, FLA., matching the maker and period. One 15-round steel detachable box magazine is included.
