The Sage International EBR chassis adds a rigid aluminum foundation with a railed forend and removable 3/6/9 o'clock Picatinny segments, plus a top rail over the forend/handguard. The receiver top remains open with the M14 rear sight and clip guide exposed. It includes a telescoping buttstock on dual guide rods, an adjustable cheek piece, and a thick buttpad for a solid, repeatable shoulder weld.
The rifle retains the M14 gas system with gas cylinder, lock, and op-rod guide, and uses the standard right-side charging handle. The action is semi-automatic, gas-operated with a rotating bolt, maintaining the reliable M14/M1A operating architecture.
Sighting is via M14-pattern iron sights: a protected front post integral to the flash suppressor assembly and an aperture rear sight with elevation and windage knobs. The 22-inch barrel and M14-style slotted flash suppressor with front sight assembly complete the classic sighting arrangement.
This configuration includes an ergonomic rubberized pistol grip and an installed vertical foregrip on the bottom rail for added control. A black polymer right-side handguard/heat shield complements the chassis to manage heat and provide a secure support-side interface.
Markings confirm pedigree and components: the receiver heel is marked "US RIFLE M1A / SPRINGFIELD ARMORY," and the chassis is marked "EBR CHASSIS STOCK / SAGE INTERNATIONAL, LTD., Oscoda, MI, Patent 6,839,981." The rifle feeds from detachable M14/M1A-pattern magazines with a maximum capacity of 20+1.
