This Dan Wesson Specialist in 9mm Luger is a full-size, forged-stainless 1911 with a 5-inch, match-grade, bushing-fitted barrel and an integral 1913 Picatinny rail. It wears a matte bead-blasted stainless finish and textured layered G10 grips, with ambidextrous controls and fixed steel sights. Included are three 10-round magazines and factory packaging; the box end label is dated May 31, 2024 and matches the pistol's serial.

The Specialist is a Government-length 1911 built on a forged stainless steel frame and slide, both finished in matte bead-blasted stainless for a uniform, low-glare look. Chambered in 9mm Luger with a 10+1 capacity, it retains the classic single-action 1911 operating system with a locked-breech, recoil-operated design.
Performance parts include a match-grade, bushing-fitted, match-marked 5-inch barrel, a solid medium-length trigger with a serrated face, and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. The slide features front and rear cocking serrations and a flat-top, serrated rib to reduce glare.
Duty-oriented touches are integrated throughout: an integral 1913 Picatinny rail, fixed steel sights with a dovetailed front post and a fixed ledge-style rear secured by a set screw, and textured layered G10 grips in tan/black. Control enhancements include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety.
Ergonomics and reloads are aided by a checkered front strap and mainspring housing, an undercut trigger guard, a recessed slide-stop pin, and a blended magazine-well funnel. Markings include the slide roll-mark "Specialist" and the frame legend "DAN WESSON FIREARMS NORWICH NY U.S.A." This U.S.-made pistol comes with three 10-round magazines, including a CobraMag HV and Dan Wesson-branded steel mags.
