The Super Redhawk platform is built around a robust stainless-steel frame and cylinder finished in satin stainless. This example uses a 7.5-inch heavy-profile barrel with a full underlug and integral rib, combining durability with consistent barrel support. The six-shot fluted cylinder is triple-locking at the front, rear, and bottom for secure lockup.
Ruger’s extended frame includes integral scalloped cuts for the factory scope rings, and this revolver comes with the Ruger stainless rings to mount an optic if desired. Iron sights are standard, with a ramped front sight that carries a red/orange insert and a fully adjustable rear sight.
The action is double-action/single-action with Ruger’s transfer-bar safety. It uses a GP100-derived peg-style grip frame and a two-spring action system. The installed grip is a black rubber Hogue finger-groove design for a secure, consistent hold.
Chambered in .44 Rem Magnum, the revolver also accepts .44 Special ammunition. The 1:20 RH twist supports a wide range of bullet weights. Overall length is approximately 13.0 inches, and weight is about 53 ounces, giving the platform notable stability.
This specific configuration is cataloged as KSRH-7 / Model 05501 and was manufactured in the United States in 2001. It includes the original Ruger case, manual, factory stainless rings, and dated factory envelope with twist-rate label.
