Chiappa PAK-9 9mm AK-Pattern Pistol, 6.3 in Threaded Barrel, Romanian-Made, Rails, Flip-Up Sights, 10+1
Romanian-made by Nova Modul and imported by Chiappa USA, the PAK-9 is a straight-blowback 9mm AK-pattern pistol with a 6.3-inch threaded barrel and a full-length top Picatinny rail. This example includes polymer flip-up sights, a 10-round Beretta 92-pattern magazine, and a nylon web sling. Its modular magwell accepts Beretta 92 magazines and can use Glock magazines with the correct adapter.
Built on a stamped-steel receiver with a black oxide/blued finish, it retains familiar AK-style controls including the right-side charging handle and selector/safety. A black polymer handguard with rail sections and a polymer AK-style pistol grip round out the configuration. Markings include CHIAPPA USA DAYTON, OH, MADE IN ROMANIA – NOVA MODUL, and the CD DEFENSE logo.
The 9x19mm barrel features 1:10 right-hand twist with six grooves and is threaded with a thread protector installed. A rear sling loop on the left side of the trunnion adds carry flexibility. Overall length is approximately 14.37 inches, and weight is about 6.0 pounds. Capacity is 10+1 with the included magazine.
Accessory mounting is straightforward: the dust cover carries a full-length top Picatinny rail, and the handguard integrates short side rail segments plus a bottom accessory rail. Polymer flip-up front and rear sights are installed.

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

This PAK-9 maintains the AK-style layout in a compact 9mm package. The straight-blowback action and stamped-steel receiver deliver a simple, durable setup, while the black oxide/blued finish completes the classic look.
The modular magwell is configured for Beretta 92 magazines and supports Glock magazines with the appropriate adapter, offering flexible magazine options. The included 10-round magazine fits the system as marked.
The barrel is 6.3 inches with a 1:10 RH twist and six-groove rifling, and it is threaded with a protector installed. The bore condition is excellent, supporting clean, crisp rifling.

Origin and markings are clear: MADE IN ROMANIA – NOVA MODUL with CHIAPPA USA DAYTON, OH import mark and CD DEFENSE logo. Model marking reads "PAK-9 9MM LUGER." The serial number is located on the right side of the receiver behind the handguard cutout.
