The heart of this Heavy Varmint is its 26-inch stainless steel heavy barrel with flutes for weight balance and heat management, a recessed crown, and a multi-port muzzle brake. Chambered in .22-250 Rem and built on a short-action receiver, it is configured for precision varmint work. The receiver is steel with a polished blued finish, drilled and tapped, and there are no factory iron sights.
The stock is a gray/black textured synthetic composite with a beavertail fore-end and straight comb that supports stable shooting from rests. It is equipped with sling swivel studs and a rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 13.0 inches.
The receiver is drilled and tapped and ready for your choice of optic; no riflescope, bases, or rings are included.
Manufactured in New Haven, Connecticut before 2006, the rifle carries "WINCHESTER TRADE MARK" and "MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CT U.S.A." markings. Capacity is 5+1. A Bushnell 18-36x compact spotting scope with a straight-through eyepiece is included; the rubber cover over the spotting scope’s objective lens is tacky to the touch.
