The 19.7 in (500 mm) STX Smooth Twist X Superior barrel is shrouded and purpose-built for precision, pairing a smooth bore with the STX rifling section. The barrel is steel, while the chassis, receiver, and frame are aluminum with a durable black anodized finish.
The M4 generation adds a brass-piston regulator and the Power Plenum 750 with FX Power Block to enhance air management. An FX-branded WIKA gauge confirms a 250 bar maximum pressure rating, and the lightweight carbon-fiber bottle serves as the primary reservoir.
FX's Quick Tune System provides tool-free external adjustability: a macro power wheel (1–16) and a micro slider (1–5) for fine control. The action is a sidelever, pre-charged pneumatic, repeating design that feeds from a 25-round rotary magazine.
The bullpup layout uses a skeletonized, fixed rear stock frame with a 14.0 length of pull, a two-position safety (Safe/Fire), and an adjustable Quick Set Trigger. A full-length top Picatinny rail and forward accessory rail sections are integrated into the chassis.
