The A5 Stalker uses Browning's Kinematic Drive, an inertia-operated system, and is chambered for both 2 3/4 and 3 in shells. The tubular magazine provides a 4-round capacity, and a knurled fore-end cap secures the assembly.
The 28 in vent-rib barrel is paired with the Invector-DS choke system for pattern tuning. Sighting is fast and straightforward with a red fiber-optic front bead and a white mid-bead on the rib. The barrel is rollmarked with A5, 12 GA, chamber lengths, Invector-DS, and 28 in designations.
The receiver is aluminum alloy with a matte black finish, and the bolt is nickel-colored. Controls include a teardrop-style charging handle and a bolt release positioned below the ejection port. The receiver is marked A5 on the left and BROWNING on the right.
The black composite stock and forend include molded textured grip panels for secure handling, plus an Inflex II recoil pad. Length of pull is 14.5 in and can be adjusted with the included spacers. Markings note Browning Arms Company, Morgan, Utah; assembled in Portugal by Browning Viana; and designed at FN Herstal, Belgium (patent pending).
