What’s Included
- Ruger instruction manual for New Model Blackhawk / Super Blackhawk / Hunter & Bisley single-action revolvers
- Ruger factory plastic hard case (original)
- .45 Colt cylinder only; auxiliary .45 ACP cylinder is not included
This BN-45SX convertible model is designed for .45 Colt and .45 ACP; however, only the .45 Colt cylinder is included and installed. It uses a robust single-action mechanism paired with Ruger's transfer-bar safety system. The six-round capacity and fluted cylinder maintain the model's recognizable profile while providing dependable function.
The 5.5-inch steel barrel and blued steel construction across major components give this revolver a well-balanced feel. Sighting is handled by a ramped front sight with an orange/red insert and a fully adjustable rear sight for precise elevation and windage control.
Ergonomics follow Ruger's traditional plow-handle grip profile with black checkered synthetic grips that wear Ruger medallions. The hammer and trigger are left in-the-white, adding visual contrast to the blued finish.
Additional touches include the ejector rod housing with a crescent-pattern ejector head for intuitive case extraction and Ruger's warning text along the barrel. The overall configuration reflects the model's blend of classic design cues and practical shooting features.
