The Classic series layout includes a solid-top, side-eject receiver that is drilled and tapped at the factory and fitted with four filler screws. This configuration supports straightforward mounting of bases while preserving traditional lines.
Chambered in .357 Magnum with a full-length tubular magazine, it holds 9 rounds and also accepts .38 Special. The rifle uses an 18.5 in barrel and iron sights: a hooded front bead and a semi-buckhorn rear on a stepped elevator for precise elevation changes.
Construction details include alloy steel for both barrel and receiver with a satin polished blued finish. The straight-grip American black walnut stock and matching forend feature cut checkering, a thin rubber recoil pad with black spacer, the Marlin red/white bullseye in the buttstock, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is 13.75 in, and the lever is the standard loop.
Safety features consist of a cross-bolt safety and a half-cock hammer. The rifle uses two barrel bands and retains the classic 1894 handling characteristics associated with this series and configuration.
