This 1985 Ruger New Model Blackhawk is a full-size, two-tone .357 Magnum single-action revolver with a 6.5 inch barrel and a fluted six-shot cylinder. It accepts .38 Special ammunition and features adjustable iron sights, Ruger's transfer-bar safety for safe six-up carry, and classic smooth hardwood grips with Ruger eagle medallions. Made in the United States, it carries the Southport, Conn. U.S.A. barrel warning rollmark and comes with its original factory box and manual.

The revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accepts .38 Special ammunition, offering versatile use with a classic six-shot, fluted cylinder. The 6.5 inch steel barrel pairs with adjustable iron sights for clear sight alignment, using a ramped front blade and fully adjustable square-notch rear.
Construction features steel barrel, cylinder, and cylinder frame. The barrel and cylinder wear a blued finish, while the cylinder frame presents an in-the-white/brushed steel finish; the grip frame is black-finished. The full-size profile is complemented by smooth hardwood grip panels set with Ruger eagle medallions and a wide-spur single-action hammer.
The action is single-action only and uses Ruger's transfer-bar safety system, allowing safe six-up carry. A factory ejector rod housing with a spring-loaded plunger is fitted for positive case ejection.
Markings and provenance include the barrel top warning rollmark with Southport, Conn. U.S.A. Production falls in 1985 per Ruger's serial number table. The revolver was made in the United States and represents the 1980s era of the New Model Blackhawk line. Note: Ruger did not catalog this two-tone configuration for 1980s blued New Model Blackhawks; the present two-tone finish is non-factory.
