The Model 991 is a medium-frame Tracker configured for .22 WMR with a nine-shot fluted cylinder, offering ample capacity in a rimfire DA/SA revolver. The exposed hammer with serrated spur supports double-action and single-action operation.
Its 4" heavy-profile barrel features a full underlug and a shrouded ejector rod with a knurled tip, complementing the stainless-steel construction. The matte stainless finish is applied across the frame, cylinder, receiver, and barrel.
Sighting is handled by an adjustable iron sight set: a pinned ramp front with an orange insert and a fully adjustable rear. The revolver is currently fitted with a Hogue rubber finger-groove grip, and the original Taurus factory rubber grip is included in the box.
Markings include Taurus Int'l Mfg Miami, FL–USA and Made in Brazil. Factory code 2-991049 corresponds to the 4" matte stainless .22 WMR nine-shot configuration. This is the discontinued standalone .22 WMR Tracker variant that preceded the Model 992 convertible.
