The steel receiver uses twin action bars for smooth, reliable cycling and is finished in matte black. Controls include a cross-bolt safety. The shotgun loads from the bottom and ejects to the right, consistent with the Model 870 design. The receiver is factory rollmarked "870 EXPRESS MAGNUM."
The 26-inch field barrel is vent-ribbed and topped with a single front bead for a clean sight picture. It uses an interchangeable choke system and comes with a Modified (M) choke installed. Chambers are cut for both 2 3/4" and 3" shells.
Hardwood furniture includes a straight-comb stock and matching forend, both with pressed checkering for a secure grip. A rubber recoil pad is fitted at the butt, and the length of pull measures 13.75 inches. The Express-series matte metal finish complements the hardwood set for a classic field-ready look.
