Made in West Germany in 1986, this P7 M8 carries the two-letter IG date code along with the German eagle over N and Ulm stag-antler proof marks. The slide bears the HK CHANTILLY VA import mark, aligning it with the 1980s U.S. import era.
Its gas-delayed blowback system pairs with a fixed, cold-hammer-forged polygonal barrel and a fluted chamber. The 4.13 in barrel and single-stack 8-round architecture define the M8 format in 9mm Luger, with an overall configuration designed for consistent alignment between barrel and sights.
Controls include the squeeze-cocking frontstrap lever that cocks/decocks the striker and can release the slide, an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release, and internal safety features including a striker block and decocker function. A lanyard ring is positioned at the heel.
The pistol uses a bar-dot sighting system: a drift-adjustable rear with vertical white bar and set screw, and an interchangeable-height front blade with white dot. The slide has rear diagonal serrations and a top anti-glare rib. The blued steel frame and slide are paired with black textured polymer grips molded with the "HK P7 M8" cartouche.
