This Springfield Armory Hellion stands out as a compact, feature-rich 5.56 NATO bullpup with a 16 inch cold hammer-forged, threaded barrel and pronged flash hider. It uses a short-stroke gas piston system with a two-position regulator and offers reversible ejection without tools. The rifle includes a full-length numbered Picatinny top rail with integrated flip-up sights, M-LOK slots, and a telescoping multi-position stock module. Made in Croatia as the U.S. import adaptation of the HS Produkt VHS-2, this example is in excellent condition and comes with a factory soft case, manual, and a Magpul 30-round PMAG.

The Hellion’s bullpup layout delivers an overall length of approximately 28.25 inches while retaining a 16 inch barrel for full ballistic performance. The platform balances quickly and keeps weight close to the shooter, with an unloaded weight of about 8 lb.
Its short-stroke gas piston action runs a two-position regulator labeled Normal/Suppressed, allowing the user to tune the system for varying conditions. Ejection is reversible without tools, and the right-side port features a sliding dust cover.
The barrel is cold hammer-forged and threaded, capped with a pronged flash hider. A 1:7 twist rate supports a wide range of 5.56x45/223 bullets. The rifle feeds from AR-pattern STANAG magazines; one 30-round Magpul PMAG is included.
Ergonomics are modern and ambidextrous, including a forward charging handle under the top rail and an ambidextrous safety selector. The polymer receiver and handguard incorporate M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, while the full-length numbered Picatinny top rail hosts integrated flip-up front and rear sights. The telescoping, multi-position butt and cheek module, along with an 18.5 inch length of pull, provide flexible fit.
