What's Included
- Thompson/Center Hawken .50 caliber percussion muzzleloading rifle
The 28" octagonal steel barrel is secured by a single transverse wedge key and pairs with a hooked-breech for straightforward takedown. It is marked with the Thompson/Center Rochester, New Hampshire barrel address and the .50 caliber designation. This configuration delivers the traditional Hawken feel with practical serviceability.
The percussion caplock sidelock is designed for No. 11 caps and is paired with a goose-neck hammer. The rifle operates as a single-shot muzzleloader, and the double-set triggers provide a crisp, tunable trigger release suited to precise shooting.
Sighting is handled by an adjustable rear open sight and a dovetailed front blade, giving a clear, traditional sight picture. The length of pull measures 14.0 inches, offering a comfortable fit for most shooters.
The walnut halfstock includes a left-side beaver-tail cheekpiece and brass furniture: crescent buttplate, round-lid patchbox on the right butt, nose cap, ramrod thimbles, wedge escutcheons, and a brass trigger guard with spur. The lockplate shows factory scroll engraving with a color case-hardened finish, adding period-correct visual detail.
