The Lite Rack system uses a lighter recoil spring, refined slide serrations, and rear cocking ears to make slide manipulation easier. Forward relief cuts reduce reciprocating mass, and the black oxide finish completes the slide assembly. The 3.42 in through-hardened alloy-steel barrel complements the compact footprint.
Ruger’s Secure Action fire-control employs a protected internal hammer within a one-piece aluminum internal chassis that carries the serial-numbered insert. The pistol is hammer-fired, recoil-operated, and semi-automatic, with a push-button magazine release for straightforward operation.
Sighting equipment includes a green fiber-optic front and a drift-adjustable steel rear with a yellow U-outline for fast alignment. The frame is glass-filled nylon over an aluminum chassis with aggressive molded texturing. An accessory rail is integrated for mounted accessories, and this pistol arrives with a Viridian green laser already installed.
Safety features include a manual thumb safety and a bladed trigger safety. The pistol is designed to fire with the magazine removed (noted on the frame). Ruger advises against the use of +P ammunition.
Capacity is 15+1 with the included 15-round magazine, and a 10-round magazine is also provided. The slide features front and rear serrations along with rear cocking ears for added purchase. Made in the USA; MPN 3839; MSRP $389.00.
