The Government Model configuration delivers the classic 5-inch barrel, full-size frame, and single-stack .45 ACP layout. This example is built entirely in stainless steel with brushed flats and matte/bead-blast rounds, pairing durable construction with the traditional Colt 1911 profile.
It features the Series 80 firing-pin safety system along with a left-side manual thumb safety, grip safety, disconnector, and half-cock notch. A spur hammer and GI-style short-tang grip safety maintain the period-correct control layout.
Sighting is straightforward and proven: a staked front blade paired with a square-notch rear in a dovetail. The slide shows vertical rear serrations only and uses a standard GI-style ejection port (non-lowered, non-scalloped).
Ergonomics follow the classic pattern with an arched mainspring housing and single-action (SAO), short-recoil, locked-breech operation. The installed Pachmayr Signature Model wraparound rubber grips provide a full wrap design across the front strap. Capacity is 8+1 rounds in the single-stack magazine format.
