This full-size 1911 features a Government-length 5 inch barrel with a bushing muzzle and a lowered, relieved ejection port. The matte black carbon steel slide carries front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation, while fixed, dovetailed 3-dot sights provide a clear sight picture.
The gray KimPro II aluminum alloy frame keeps weight to approximately 31 oz empty and adds practical control enhancements: 30 LPI front strap checkering, a checkered mainspring housing, and an integrated magazine well funnel. Checkered laminated wood grips with the Kimber logo complete the grip interface.
Controls and safeties are oriented for a duty-ready 1911. It uses a single-action, semi-automatic operating system with a thumb safety and grip safety, plus the Series II Swartz-type firing pin block. A skeletonized trigger with lightening ports and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer round out the setup.
Markings include "TACTICAL CUSTOM II" on the slide left and "Kimber MFG, Yonkers NY USA" on the frame. Capacity is 8+1 with standard .45 ACP magazines, aligning with its government-format configuration and integrated magwell for efficient reloads.
