The Hunter submodel delivers a stainless, tapered sporter-profile barrel measuring 24 inches. It is cold hammer-forged with 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist to suit .300 Win. Mag., and it is fitted with a radial-port muzzle brake. The rifle is configured without open sights.
The controlled-round-feed action uses a non-rotating Mauser-type claw extractor and a fixed-blade ejector. It features a three-position safety and Ruger's LC6 single-stage trigger. The receiver is stainless with a brushed finish and includes integral Ruger scope-mount cuts; this example has Ruger-style ring bottoms installed.
The classic walnut stock has cut checkering, a checkered pistol grip, Ruger red recoil pad, and two sling swivel studs. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, and overall length is approximately 44.75 inches.
Feeding is from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, providing a 3+1 capacity in .300 Win. Mag. The rifle retains a brushed stainless overall finish consistent with the Hawkeye Hunter series.
