What’s Included
- Colt Officer's ACP MK IV/Series 80 .45 ACP pistol
- One 7-round magazine
The Officer's ACP is Colt's compact 1911 platform with a 3.5 in barrel and a 7-round magazine, delivering the familiar 1911 controls in a shorter, steel-frame package. This example is the non-Lightweight steel model with a blued finish, produced in 1990 in the United States. Factory rollmarks include OFFICER'S ACP on the right side and COLT MK IV / SERIES 80 with the Rampant Colt on the left.
The operating system is single-action, locked-breech, and recoil-operated with the Series 80 firing pin block. It features a manual thumb safety and a grip safety. The trigger is the short, solid style, and the hammer is the Commander-style rowel pattern.
Sight configuration is fixed and low-profile, with a ramped blade front and a square-notch rear. The slide has rear cocking serrations only. The pistol uses a bushing-type barrel system with a short guide rod and a front recoil spring plug that has a checkered face.
Grip panels are checkered wood with Colt gold medallions, providing a traditional Colt appearance and positive purchase. Factory nominal dimensions list an overall length of approximately 7.1 in and a weight of about 34 oz, keeping the compact proportions while maintaining an all-steel feel.
Capacity is 7+1 rounds of .45 ACP. The clean, mirror-bright bore with sharp rifling supports strong shooting potential, and the classic Colt markings and Series 80 configuration make it a solid representative of the Officer's ACP line.
