Ruger New Model Single-Six .22 WMR, 5.5 inch, Stainless, 6-Shot, Adjustable Sights, 1976
This stainless Ruger New Model Single-Six is a .22 WMR, six-shot, single-action revolver from the 1970s with a 5.5 inch cold hammer-forged barrel. It features the New Model transfer-bar system with a loading gate interlock, adjustable iron sights, and smooth walnut grips with Ruger eagle medallions. Uniform brushed/satin stainless finishes the barrel, frame, cylinder, and ejector-rod housing.
The revolver includes a fluted stainless cylinder and a right-side ejector rod with a round/button (bullseye) head. The frame is rollmarked "RUGER .22 CAL. NEW MODEL SINGLE-SIX." It was manufactured in 1976 in the United States and represents the New Model Single-Six series setup in a dedicated .22 WMR configuration.
Sight arrangement consists of an adjustable rear with windage and elevation screws and a ramped front sight with a screw-retained black blade for a clear sight picture. The cold hammer-forged barrel supports the platform’s accuracy and longevity, and the full-size profile provides a steady hold.
The transfer-bar ignition and loading gate interlock deliver the New Model safety system Ruger introduced in this era. The smooth walnut grip panels with inset Ruger eagle medallions complete the classic Single-Six styling and feel.
