The P model follows the 2011 double-stack 1911 format with a metal frame and a polymer 2011 grip module featuring aggressive texture. It uses a single-action only system with a flat-faced, lightened trigger and a skeletonized hammer, plus a left-side magazine release for intuitive operation.
The 4.4 in stainless bull barrel is bushingless for a tight lockup. The slide has front and rear serrations and a matte black finish. It is machined with an optics cut and includes an optic cover plate; the black serrated, adjustable rear sight is mounted to that plate and aligns with a red fiber-optic front sight.
A short Picatinny accessory rail section on the front of the dustcover supports light or laser attachment. Capacity is 20+1 rounds of 9mm Luger, and this example ships with two 20-round magazines and one 17-round magazine compatible with Staccato 2011 pistols.
Production year is confirmed as 2020 by the factory hang tag. The pistol is marked STACCATO, Georgetown, TX USA and includes the factory soft case, manual, test target card, hang tag, and a Dawson Precision recoil spring ship kit for the 4.4 guide rod.
