The Super Blackhawk platform here is the New Model series with a single-action mechanism and Ruger’s transfer-bar safety, enabling safe carry with all six chambers loaded. Construction is investment-cast stainless steel with a uniform satin finish across the frame, barrel, and cylinder for durability and corrosion resistance.
The 5.5-inch round-profile barrel is paired with a separate ejector-rod housing and an under-barrel ejector featuring a round, bullseye-style head. The cylinder is fluted and holds six rounds. A rounded trigger guard identifies this as the non-Dragoon variant, and the hammer has a wide, serrated spur for positive control.
Sighting is fast and precise thanks to a pinned, ramped front sight with a yellow-painted blade face and an adjustable square-notch rear sight. The revolver’s bore condition is excellent, with sharp rifling that supports accuracy and clean shooting performance.
Chambered in .44 Remington Magnum, this revolver is also compatible with .44 Special per Ruger literature, offering flexibility in ammunition selection. Capacity is six rounds. It is full-size and built in the United States.
This example is currently fitted with a Hogue rubber Monogrip with finger grooves for a secure, hand-filling hold. Two single Ruger-medallion hardwood grip panels are included; these are unmatched single panels and do not form a complete set.
