CZ 85 B 9mm Luger Full-Size DA/SA, Steel Frame, Black Polycoat, 4.7 in Barrel, 16+1, 2012 Czech Proof, Matching Numbers
This CZ 85 B is a full-size, steel-frame 9mm with true ambidextrous controls, imported by CZ-USA and C.I.P. proofed in the Czech Republic in 2012. It wears the durable black Polycoat finish and uses internal slide rails for a low-bore-axis feel. The hammer-forged 4.7 in barrel, fixed sights, and matching serial numbers on the frame, slide, and barrel hood make this a well-documented example of the 85 B pattern.

The CZ 85 B is the ambidextrous variant in the CZ 75 family, equipped with mirrored slide stops and manual thumb safeties for left- or right-handed operation. Its DA/SA, recoil-operated, locked-breech system is paired with a smooth, curved trigger, a ring spur hammer, a firing pin block, and a half-cock notch.
The steel frame and slide are finished in black Polycoat, and the slide rides on internal rails with an anti-glare rib and rear serrations. The non-railed dust cover retains the classic 75/85 profile, and the frame includes a lanyard loop.
Sighting is straightforward and durable with fixed sights: a pinned front blade and a square-notch rear. Black checkered polymer grips with CZ medallions provide a secure hold.
Capacity is 16+1 in 9mm Luger. This example features a hammer-forged 4.7 in barrel, an overall length of approximately 8.1 in, and an approximate weight of 35.3 oz. It bears Czech C.I.P. proofs including the rampant lion over N and a two-digit 12 year mark, along with the CZ-USA, Kansas City, KS import mark. Matching serial numbers are present on the frame, slide, and barrel hood.
